Chad was a much-loved local figure who touched the lives of many. He was a dedicated youth worker and mentor, a passionate DJ and entrepreneur, and a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.
Chad was diagnosed with renal medullary carcinoma (RMC), a rare and aggressive form of kidney cancer associated with sickle cell trait. Throughout his illness, he was determined to raise awareness of RMC, speaking openly about his experience through social media, radio and newspapers. Chad’s family and friends established the Chad Foundation in 2022 to continue raising awareness of RMC and to carry forward the causes that were closest to his heart – giving back to young people and local communities, with a particular focus on sport, music and media enterprise, and child bereavement support.
100% of event proceeds directly support two vital causes deeply connected to Chad’s legacy and family:
- Simon Says Child Bereavement Charity (Supporting young hearts and families navigating loss)
- Ricky Cassidy Trust RMC Cancer Charity (Raising awareness and research support for Renal Medullary Carcinoma)
We look forward to welcoming you to this very special celebration of Chad’s life, remembering the remarkable person he was and continuing his legacy.
