Unemployed Semyon is not in the best of health.Very quickly, his family and neighbours imagine he wants to end his life. The misunderstanding grows and becomes uncontrollable. Soon, strangers are parading through his home, determined to make his death a symbol for their cause: Love, religion, the intelligentsia… and even Semyon ends up getting caught up in it.
